June Favourites

June Favourites

We are officially half way through the year. Whaaaat?!?!

The past six months have been devastatingly unfortunate and depressing in terms of global events and I think we can all agree it hasn’t been the best start to 2017.

On a personal note, the first half of the year has been unexpected and challenging for me to say the least, but I feel like things are starting to look up and I’m finally starting to get my life together.

Also, July is an exciting month for me because I start a course which will hopefully mark the beginning of my (long) journey to becoming a teacher! Yay! Due to that, I may be less active on social media and have to cut back on the blog posts, but it’s all for good reason – I’ll be studying!

Today I’ll be sharing my June favourites. We’ve got a good mix of things this month, so lets get straight into it!

Australis Cray for Colour Lip Crayon – “Velvet Kiss”

I did an entire blog post reviewing this product, but I’ve used it so much last month that I had to add it to my June favourites as well. The deep berry-plum shade is just perfect for winter. This product is so convenient and great for on the go, as it’s so easy to touch up.

OPI Nail Polish – “Honk if you love OPI”

In case you haven’t noticed – I love deep purple colours for winter! I spoke about this nail polish in my winter beauty must haves post and I just can’t get enough of it! I’ve worn this nail polish all month and haven’t gotten sick of it (yet). It’s just so versatile and matches any outfit.

Lucas’ Paw paw ointment

I feel like every Australian as owned a tube of Lucas’ paw paw ointment at least once in their life. It has a variety of purposes, but I use it on my lips as they gotten quite dry lately. No word of a lie, I can tell a massive difference after one use. Crazy, I know. But it’s amazing!

Kmart Boots

I love wearing boots during this time of year. They’re my winter fashion must have. I got these ones from Kmart for $30 (yes, you read that correctly). They’re a lovely beige/nude colour and they’ve got a nice sized heel. I must say, they are a little uncomfortable during the first few wears, but once they’re worn in they become more bearable, just be sure not to wear them for too long at a time – your feet will kill. But hey, that’s the price you pay for wearing heels.

“Feels” Calvin Harris ft. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean

Time for my music favourite of the month! I first heard this song from that tropical snapchat filter and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I’ve been listening to it non stop this month. It has strong summer vibes which warms and livens me as my fellow Aussies and I shiver through winter.

What things have you been loving this past month?

Is the Lucas pawpaw ointment the same type of stuff as we get here in the uk from Dr Paw Paw? It’s a balm and I’m very similar packaging! X

I just googled it and they do look very similar! It’s a multi use paw paw balm so I’m guessing that they’re essentially the same product x

I love that shade of OPI!!! It’s gorgeous, I’m gonna have to go looking for it. Maybe I’ll give it a go in August, I’m kind of digging neutrals at the moment. Congrats on starting your journey on becoming a teacher! I just finished my first year of teaching and boy it sure was .. something else. But I loved it, haha. Wishing you the best on your upcoming courses!
